Laser Hair Removal Treatment

Laser hair reduction is a medical-grade light-based treatment designed to reduce unwanted hair over the long term.

It works by targeting pigment in the hair follicle with controlled light energy, gradually reducing regrowth over a course of sessions.

Results are classed as long-term hair reduction. Maintenance sessions may be needed over time due to hormones, hair cycles, and individual response.

Treatment is not one-size-fits-all. Skin type, hair type, medical history, and hormonal factors are assessed to determine suitability and expected outcomes.

If unwanted facial or body hair is affecting you, laser hair removal can provide a structured, long-term solution to reduce ongoing maintenance.

Laser hair removal is suitable for a wide range of individuals and treatment needs.

Clients commonly seek treatment for:

  • Facial hair reduction

  • Body hair reduction

  • Hormonal hair growth

  • Dense or coarse hair areas

Treatment is always tailored to your individual hair type, skin type, and goals, following a full consultation and suitability assessment.

Treatments

What To Expect

All treatments begin with a structured consultation to ensure laser hair removal is safe and appropriate for you.

Consultation
Your consultation includes a full medical and skin assessment, discussion of your goals, and a clear explanation of how laser works, including benefits, limitations, risks and expected outcomes. We will also discuss your treatment plan and costs.

Patch Test
A patch test is carried out to assess your skin’s response and confirm safe, appropriate settings before full treatment.

Treatment
Treatment can begin 24 hours after a successful patch test, once your skin response has been assessed.

You will require a course of sessions to achieve effective long-term hair reduction. This is typically around 8 sessions, although it can vary from 6 - 12 depending on the area being treated, hair type, and individual response.

Hair grows in cycles, and different areas of the body grow at different rates. For this reason, treatment intervals are adjusted accordingly:

  • Facial areas: approximately every 2 - 3 weeks initially

  • Body areas (e.g. bikini, legs, back): approximately every 4 - 6 weeks initially

As treatment progresses and regrowth slows, appointments are spaced further apart.

Appointment duration depends on the area treated, ranging from:

  • Around 15 minutes for smaller areas (e.g. upper lip)

  • Up to several hours for full face and body treatments

Your treatment plan, including timing and expected progression, will be outlined clearly during your consultation.

Gradual Results
Hair reduction develops over a course of sessions. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments are required, and results vary depending on hair type, skin type, and any hormonal factors.

Maintenance
Following your initial course of treatment, occasional maintenance sessions may be required to manage any new or returning hair growth.

The frequency of maintenance varies between individuals and depends on factors such as hair type, treatment area, and hormonal influence. Some clients may choose to attend every 6–12 months, while others may not require treatment for several years.
